Recover My Files will search and located Microsoft Outlook PST and WAB (address book) files which have been lost or deleted and emptied from the Windows Recycle Bin. (Recover My Files will not recover individual messaged deleted from within Microsoft Outlook).

PST files are very complex and in some instances recovered PST files will not function until they have also been repaired. This is done by running a program called 'scanpst.exe' (also known as the 'Inbox Repair Tool') which is installed by default on all Windows computer systems. Or, download 'scanpst.exe here'. Once you have recovered and repaired the file you will once again be able to open the file in Microsoft Outlook.

The preview in the trial software will allow you to see the contents of the recovered file, including the number of messages, the 'to' and 'from' address fields, the subject and the date each message was sent and received. Place the recovered files in a new directory and point your Outlook Express email client to this directory to open the deleted files.

Recover Deleted Web Based Email (Hotmail & Yahoo etc)

In some instances it is possible to recover deleted Web based email messages (such as Hotmail or Yahoo). This can only be done if you have previously opened and looked at the message on your computer before (the message is cached to you computer and can be recovered as a HTML page).
