Re-enable Task Bar

Hidden Taskbar

First, make sure you did not hide the taskbar to the edge of your screen. When you move the move to the one of the edge of your screen, you should the resize mouse cursor.

Taskbar Not Loaded

Windows taskbar is associated with desktop shell (explorer.exe). If ,for any reason, the shell does not load properly or crash, it affected the task bar including the system tray.

How to re-enable taskbar if taskbar is missing?

1) If My Computer is on the desktop, double click it to access Windows folder. Find explorer.exe and run it.

2) In Windows 200/XP,  press  CTRL+ALT+DEL and choose Task Manager. On the Application Tab, click New Task button, type 'Explorer.exe' and hit OK.

In Windows 9x/Me, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to start Task Manager, click Run Application on the File menu, and then type 'Explorer.exe' and click OK.
